Effective Interviewing
Effective Interviewing is a half-day workshop in which our consultant will work with participants to help them learn how to establish rapport with new hires, and ask the “right” questions. Participants will practice their interviewing techniques through simulation and other interactive group activities.
Learning Objectives
Following the session, participants will be able to:
- Identify the basic elements necessary to prepare for the interview.
- Describe and differentiate between different interview formats (e.g., Structured and Unstructured) and types of selection interviews.
- Identify what the interviewer needs.
- Prepare responses to frequently asked interview questions.
- Observe if the candidate knows how to market themselves by asking questions.
- Handle inappropriate interview questions.
- Gain closure for the interview. Identify the components of effective interview follow-up.
